One of the JSCOR fellows, Dr. Neeraja Nagarajan, was featured on Wednesday's Today Show. She was interviewed regarding her tweet for #ILookLikeASurgeon, one of a series of hashtags intended to break down stereotypes of women in the workplace.
As with many surgical researchers across the country (and around the world), JSCOR was very busy this past week preparing abstracts for the Academic Surgical Congress 2016, to be held in Jacksonville, Florida. On Friday, August 7th, Dr. Elliott Haut, Dr. Craig Hooker, and myself presented the Surgery Faculty-Student Mentoring Program to the new MPH students at the Bloomburg School of Public Health.
