Welcome Back!

Welcome back to the JSCOR Blog! We wanted to take the chance to reintroduce ourselves to the interwebs.

First, what is JSCOR? JSCOR stands for the Johns Hopkins Surgery Center for Outcomes Research. We are a collective of medical students, pre-medical students, and residents who are all currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health. Our group of students is a collection of people from Universities all across America, and around the world, including Pakistan, Brazil, Ethiopia, Taiwan, and India, amongst others. We all work on individual projects with a host of dedicated mentors within the Department of Surgery and beyond. This design is all made possible by our fearless leaders, Joe Canner and Dr. Elliot Haut!

Second, we want to hear from you! If you think of content ideas, have questions about our current or past work, are interested in joining us (as a mentee or a mentor), please reach out. We hope this blog will serve a muse for our cohort to explore topics in research, clinical outcomes, healthcare, diversity, health policy, and mentorship as we further our public health training. Even more, we hope to inspire the next generation of JSCOR MPH-ers.

Third, check out our new site--big design and content updates happening! Add to your reading list, learn about the data we work with, meet our fearless leaders, look how productive we can be as a community. We've got lots of content coming at you, so get ready!

We look forward to interacting with you all.

Lauren and Brady
